House, now offices, with area railings. c1797, altered C19. By John Cordingley, carpenter. Red brick, stone details, slate roof, wrought-iron railings. 3 storeys and basement, 3 first-floor windows. Steps up to entrance left with stone surround of Tuscan three-quarter columns, heavy entablature, fanlight with intersecting glazing bars. Sash windows with stone sills and wedge lintels, 1st-floor sill band. Rear: bay window. INTERIOR: staircase with slender turned balusters and moulded handrail. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings: bars with leaf finials. Part of a row of houses, possibly all by John Cordingley, built by 1806 as part of the development of land leased by the Wilson estate for merchant housing.
