House. Early C17 with mid C17 rear wing: late C19 brick casing
and C20 alteration. Timber-framed now encased in red brick;
plain tile roofs with brick gable end stack to left, added
stack to right gable eccentric to ridge.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey 2-window front, with lower 2-storey wing to
rear. Central 6-panelled door, central 2 panels glazed, in
simple doorcase with hood on scrolled consoles. One 6/6
unhorned sash to left under concrete lintel, one C20 canted
bay window to right. Two 3/3 unhorned sashes to first floor.
Rear: wing has renewed fenestration and doorways.
INTERIOR: front part has exposed timber-frame of thin
scantling and chamfered tongue-stopped bridging beams. Brick
cellar with redundant C19 external stairs. On first floor of
the rear wing, 9 panels of early C17 small-framed panelling
and arcaded frieze survive. Two early C18 2-panel doors on
HL-hinges.
