Town house now shop, vacant when inspected, hire shop on
former Row level and recording studio in third storey. Early
C19. Brown brick front in Flemish bond; grey slate roof, ridge
at right-angle to front.
3 storeys. 13 repaired steps to former Row in tall
round-arched recessed porch, north; shopfront of mid C19
character has replaced glazed door with simple overlight,
panelled pilasters and a pair of 4-light shop windows. The
upper storeys have nearly flush sashes with painted stone
sills and wedge lintels: one, now of 4 panes, to second storey
and 2 of 16 panes to third storey; parapet with simple stone
cornice; lateral brick chimney, south.
INTERIOR: the vacant first storey, formerly the undercroft,
could not be inspected. The stair from second to third storey
has chamfered tapered newels, stick balusters and swept rail.
A 5-panel door and panelled embrasures in the third storey.
