House. C16-C17 core (originally a farmhouse with L shape plan),
remodelled early C19. Timber framed core, plastered facade,
colourwashed brick to right hand return front; roof of main wings
slated to front and plaintiled to rear. 2 storeys; the roof over
the 2 main facades has been raised to accommodate sash windows so
that the first floor windows are largely dummies, their upper
part opening to the false roof slope. 5 window range, unevenly
spaced sashes with glazing bars in flush frames; asymmetrical
doorway: semi-circular roofed porch on slender columns each
comprising a cluster of 4 shafts; fluted frieze, cornice,
panelled soffit; inset 6-panel door and semi-circular fanlight,
panelled reveals; late C19 extension onto left hand side of
porch. Right hand return. front with 6 window range, inset sashes
with glazing bars, flat brick arches; to the gable end is a full
height semi-circular 3-light bay with moulded brick band.
