corner of north aisle
of the Church of St John
the Baptist

GV II

Chest tomb. Early C19. Sandstone ashlar. Rectangular plan. Moulded
plinth and capping; moulded oval inscription panels and fluted fans in
the spandrels. James Poole (died 1826) and Thomas Poole (died 1817)
commemorated on south face. Richard Poole (died 1804) and John Poole
(died 1806) on north side. Thomas Poole (died 1793) commemorated on
top ledger.
