4 terraced houses. Early to mid C19. Stucco. Roofs parapeted.
3 storeys and attic over basement. 2 windows each.
All ground-floor openings are round-arched, entrances with
plain fanlights; storey band between ground and 1st floors.
First-floor windows are floor to ceiling and open out onto a
balcony which is enclosed by cast-iron railings in a heart and
anthemion pattern. Projecting sills to 2nd-floor windows;
plain storey band above is level with the sills of the attic
windows. Plain coping to parapet. Sashes with margin lights to
ground-floor windows of No.170, which has 1st-floor windows of
an original 6x6 design.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: cast-iron area railings.
