Row of 3 houses, now house and 2 shops. Probably early C19 in
2 builds, Nos 16 & 18 altered to shops in C19. Brown hand-made
brick in English garden wall bond, slate roof. Double-depth
plan, No.14 double-fronted and the others single-fronted.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range. Vertical joint between
Nos 14 & 16.
No.14 has a square-headed doorway off-set left, with a 4-pane
overlight and wedge lintel, 2 unhorned 8/8 sashes at ground
floor with similar lintels, and similar but shorter 4/8 sashes
at first floor.
Nos 16 & 18 to the left have shop windows and doorways in a
C19 wooden pilastered surround with frieze and cornice: No.16
has a window of 8 large panes in 2 tiers with thin glazing
bars; No.18 has an oblong plate-glass window. At first floor
each has one 4/8 sash. Ridge chimney and gable chimneys.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms group with No.12 to the right (qv), and with No.9 (qv),
Nos 11 & 13 (qv) and Nos 17-23 (qv) opposite.
