Pair of houses, now shops. Probably early C19; altered for
shops in later C19. Roughcast render on brick, slate roof.
Double-depth plan, each former house single-fronted, plus back
extension to left.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2-window range. Symmetrical. Each has a
wooden pilastered shop front with frieze and cornice, doorways
to right and left respectively, and a rectangular shop window
of 8 large well-proportioned panes in 2 tiers; and a 3-light
sliding sash window at first floor with glazing bars. Former
ridge chimney removed.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms group with No. 27 (qv) and Nos 29-31A (qv) opposite, and
with Nos 2-6 Back Botanic Road (qv) which lie at right-angles
adjacent to the north.
