Detached house. c1830. Red brick set in Flemish bond, roof of
slate.
2 storeys over basement, the main block of 5-window range and
double-fronted, with 2-window range lower wing to east,
one-window range lower wing to west, and a 3-window range
recessed beyond that. Flat-arched entrance with engaged Greek
Doric columns carrying entablature with modillion cornice; the
doorcase has panelled reveals, slim fluted pilasters to the
architrave and decorative glazing to the overlight; panelled
door of original design. All windows have cambered arches.
Storey band; bracketed eaves; hipped roof with side stacks.
Sashes of original design survive to left-hand ground-floor
window of eastern wing, and ground floor of recessed western
wing, whose upper windows are blank.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Brick walls flanking area; corniced and pedimented gate piers;
cast-iron railings with console brackets.
