Terraced house. c1815. Stucco and painted brick laid in
Flemish bond. Roof obscured by blocking course. 3-window
range.
3 storeys and attic over half basement. Flat-arched entry with
overlight framed by Tuscan pilasters and entablature, which
continues as a storey band separating the ground from first
floors. To the right of the entrance a tripartite window with
sashes of an original design: 6 x 6 to centre and 4 x 4 to
sides. Banded rustication to ground floor; floors above in
brick. Balcony with cast-iron railing to first floor.
Elevation treated as a full-height and nearly full-width
segmental bay. Entablature storey bands to second floor and
attic. All windows flat-arched with architraves, those on the
first floor are floor to ceiling and have one pediment each.
Sashes of original design: 6 x 9, 3 x 6, and 3 x 3, to first
through ground floors respectively. Stack to party wall.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Railings to stairs and area.
No.15, Nos 17-18 and Nos 20-26 (qv) form a group.
