House, now school. c1830-1840, with later additions and
alterations. Reddish-brown brick in Flemish bond with ashlar
dressings.
2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows; extension to rear. 4 steps
to central entrance a 6-fielded-panel door with fanlight with
radial glazing-bars in panelled reveals, architrave has Tuscan
pilasters and broken pediment. 6/6 sashes with sills and
rusticated flat arches with raised keystone throughout, larger
to ground floor. Brick box below ground-floor right window.
Wide eaves, end stack. 'Windsor Cottage' painted on front
facade to right in early C20 lettering.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Augusta Place was laid out and built on
during the 1830s.
