Includes No. 1 RUSSELL STREET.
House, stables and stableyard, now offices and part of public house. c1818 with later alterations. Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco facades and Welsh slate roof.
PLAN: L-shaped on plan enclosing yard.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys 4 first-floor windows of which the second is within pedimented projection with carriage arch. Elliptically-arched carriage arch with plank door. 1/1 sashes mainly with horns to ground floor and first floor, except above carriage arch a 3/6 sash, all in plain reveals.
Right return (Russell Street): 2 storeys, 3 first floor windows. Plinth. 1/1 sashes with horns throughout in plain reveals and with sills. 2 steps to central entrance a 6-fielded-panel door, between pilaster strips, side-lights with glazing-bars, frieze, mutule cornice, elliptical overlight with gothic glazing all in plain reveals with outer roll-moulding. Wide eaves. 2 tall roof and rear stacks with cornices.
INTERIOR: staircase has stick balusters.
Occupies a corner site.
