House. c1834. Brick with painted stucco facades and Welsh
slate roof. Neo-Tudor style.
2 storeys with attic, 2 bays, that to left is narrow and
deeply recessed, that to right is gabled.
Entrance to left: 2 steps to Gothic porch; within, a 4-panel
door, the upper 2 glazed and with gothic tracery to head, the
lower with quatrefoil decoration, 3-pane overlight and tooled
surround. Otherwise ground floor has 10-pane French window
with divided overlight, plain reveals, tooled surround and
raised cornice. First floor: to left a 4/4 sash, to right 6/6
sash, both with sills, hoodmoulds and plain reveals. 2 bands
to left and embattled parapet. Attic to right gable has 3/6
sash, hoodmould, sill and plain reveals. Decorative
bargeboards, end stack with cornice.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Leam Terrace was laid out c1828-1836, both
sides to Willes Road were almost completely built by 1841.
