House. c1840 with later alterations. Pinkish-brown brick in
irregular English Garden Wall bond, with painted stucco front
facade, scored in imitation of ashlar to ground floor, Welsh
slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with basement, 2 first-floor windows.
First floor: band, 6/6 sashes with horns in plain reveals and
tooled architraves.
Ground floor: entrance to left, 4 roll-edged steps to 4-panel
door with overlight with margin-lights in panelled reveals and
with tooled surround, with hood on consoles. Bay window has
6/6 sash between 2/2 sashes with pilasters between, frieze,
cornice. Further C20 door to far left.
Skylight to basement. Tall right end stack with modillion
cornice.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Leam Terrace was laid out c1828-1836 and
almost completely built as far as Willes Road by 1841.
Forms an architectural group with Nos 70, 72 and 74 Leam
Terrace (qqv).
