GV II

House, now 2 dwellings. Early C19 with later additions and
alterations. Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco front and
side facades, concealed roof.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys with basement, 3 first-floor windows, with
single-storey, single bay to right.
Ground floor: horizontal rustication. From first floor to full
height are tall Tuscan pilaster strips with recessed panel.
First floor: tall 1/1 sashes in tooled architraves (partly
missing to centre and right) and floating cornices.
Second floor has 1/1 sashes with sills.
Ground floor, main range: central entrance, 7 roll-edged steps
to part-glazed 5-panel door with overlight within distyle
Ionic porch with frieze. Canted bays to either side each with
three 1/1 sashes.
Basement has 1/1 sashes. All windows in plain reveals. Frieze,
blocking course.
Range to right has 1/1 sash; surmounted by balustrade. End and
rear stacks have cornices. Left return: 2 first-floor windows.
Horizontal rustication to ground floor. First floor: band,
surmounted by end Tuscan pilasters with recessed panels. 1/1
sashes throughout, all in plain reveals and with sills, those
to first floor have tooled architraves, frieze and cornice.
Frieze, cornice, blocking course.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Occupies a prominent corner site.
