Houses, now shops with storage above. Numbered right to left,
described left to right. c1818-30 with later additions and
alterations including mid-C20 ground floor and shop fronts.
Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco facade, lined to
right, and Welsh slate roof.
3 storeys, 2 first-floor windows. First floor has 4 tall 6/6
sashes. Solid balcony to left has cornice and low parapet
above projecting ground-floor shop front. Second floor has two
3/6 sashes and two 3/1 sashes. All windows with sills and
plain reveals.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: the Parade was so named in 1860. Originally
Lillington Lane, it was re-named Union Row c1809 and then
Union Parade by 1814. The lower section of the road was laid
out and built c1810-1818, whilst the upper section, east side
was built 1824-1840.
