Terraced houses. c1825. Stucco, roofs of asbestos tiles.
3 storeys over basement, with attic added, 2-window range. All
windows flat-arched. Steps up to round-arched entrance with
projecting doorpiece incorporating pilasters and keystone;
fanlight. Ground floor and basement decorated with banded
rustication. Full-height segmental bay; bracketed balcony to
first floor with cast-iron balustrade; first and second-floor
windows have moulded architraves, those to the first floor
incorporating a cornice and wreathed frieze; cornice and
balustraded parapet; flat-arched dormers to attic; stacks to
party walls. The second floor of No.51 and the first and
second floors of No.52 have sashes of original design, 9 x 9
on the first floor, 3 x 6 on the second floor.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Cast-iron railings, partly lacking to
No.51, with gadrooned standards and halberd finials.
