GV II

House, part now shop. C17 with later alterations. Lias
limestone with lined stucco facade; gabled old tile roof with
brick end and rear stacks. 2-unit cross-wing plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range with asymmetrical gable to
left end. Plat band over ground floor. Entrance to right of
centre has doorcase with pilasters, frieze and bracketed open
pediment to 6 flush-panel door. Windows to ground floor have
flat arches with key blocks over plate glass to left, 8/8
horned sash to right; first floor has 2 windows with 2-light
small-paned casements.
Gabled wing to left has large early C20 canted shop front with
cornice and hipped roof over 4-light windows flanking entrance
with overlight with decorative glazing bars over paired
half-glazed doors; window with 8/8 sash above. Exposed stone
to right return; rear gabled wings.
INTERIOR: some exposed beams to shop.
