Pair of houses. C17 with C18 alterations and additions.
Coursed dressed lias limestone with ironstone dressings; old
tile roof with coped gables and renewed brick end stack and
cross-axial stack. 4-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus attic; 6-window range. Quoins to
right end. House to left: entrance has chamfered ashlar
opening with slight ogee to 3-centred head, and early C18
6-fielded-panel door. Ground floor has Venetian window to left
with sill, pilasters, frieze and cornice over 6/6 sash under
tympanum and side lights; window with timber lintel over
3-light small-paned casement to right; first floor has 2-light
with flanking 3-light leaded casements.
House to right: entrance has doorcase with panelled pilasters,
frieze and bracketed pediment to 5-panel door (2 panels
glazed). Windows to ground floor have flat arches over 2-light
small-paned casements; similar casements to smaller
first-floor windows. Range has 5 gabled roof dormers with
pedimental gables and 2-light casements, 2 to house to left, 3
to house to right. Left end has short attached stone wall.
