GV II

House, now house and shop. Late C17 or early C18, with later
alterations and additions. Timber-frame with brick infill
refaced with roughcast brick; partly renewed gabled tile roof
with brick stack to rear of ridge and end stack. 4-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range. Top timber cornice with
flat modillions, missing from left end.
No.167 has throughway to right; entrance to left end has C20
door and small-paned canted bay window to right, both under
hipped pentice.
No.169 has entrance with gabled hood over C20 glazed door and
is flanked by small-paned bow windows of different sizes with
entablatures.
First floor has windows with 3-light small-paned casements,
the windows to left renewed, those to right with iron opening
casements. Square framing visible in throughway walls and
gable to right.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
