GV II

House and shop. Early C19 with C18 wing. Brick laid to Flemish
bond, and painted brick to wing; slate roof with brick end
stack and stack to rear; tile roof to wing. Central staircase
plan; wing to left has projecting gabled wing.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; originally symmetrical 3-window range.
Top moulded wood cornice. Central entrance has doorcase with
architrave, frieze and dentilled cornice to C20 glazed door;
entrance to left has architrave to C20 6-panel door, and porch
with Doric columns, frieze and modillioned cornice carried
over shop window to wing, with half-column to left end; shop
window with 6 round-headed lights, one to right end to cant,
with colonnettes and cable-moulded arches.
Ground floor has window to right end with narrow sill, and
rusticated wedge lintel over 8/8 sash; first floor has similar
windows with 8/8 sashes flanking 6/6 sash. Second floor has
windows with 8/8 sashes flanking 6/6 sash. All sashes horned.
Wing has segmental-headed first-floor window with C20 3-light
small-paned casement. Rear wings with stacks.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
