Barn. Probably late C17 with late C18 or early C19
alterations. Timber-frame with weatherboarding above late
C18/C19 brick infill, on blue lias rubble plinth; tile roof.
EXTERIOR: 3-bay structure with central threshing floor and
square framing with tension braces. Barn entrance has paired
C20 doors with strap hinges; smaller door to right.
Rear has barn doors with flanking brick walling and brick
lean-to outshut to right. Gabled roof.
Left return has brick plinth and gable; right return has
attached brick cow house with strut trusses and trenched
purlins.
INTERIOR: late C18/C19 roof trusses with tie beam and collar
trusses with queen struts; some long wind braces. Flagged
threshing floor flanked by remains of low partitions with
tension braces, inserted upper floor to right.
Burton Farmhouse is not included.
