GV II

House. C17 with C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Painted
brick, with timber-frame with painted brick infill to right,
on rubble plinth; steeply pitched thatched roof with tile
roofs to ends and projecting brick end stacks and stack to
rear of ridge. 3-unit plan with timber-framed right end, plus
single-unit extensions to ends.
EXTERIOR: single-storey plus attic with 2-storey wings.
Entrance to left of centre has half-glazed door in moulded
frame and enriched segmental iron canopy. All windows have
leaded glazing, most have C20 casements. Bay window to left of
entrance has hipped tile roof over 1:3:1-light casement;
windows with similar 3-light casements to right, flanking
small leaded light; first floor has 2 C20 gabled dormers with
3-light casements and smaller raking dormer to right has
2-light older casement. To left a single-window range with
segmental-headed window to ground floor with 2-light casement;
smaller window to first floor has older 2-light casement with
iron opening casement.
Single-window range to right end has entrance to left of wide
garage door; applied timber-framing to first floor, which has
window with 3-light casement. Rear has additions.
