SO57SE Memorial to Richard Mason 2 metres
582-1/4/109 south of porch of Church of St James

GV II

Chest tomb. Early-mid C19. Sandstone ashlar. Saddleback lid
with moulded edge. Plain inscribed side panels recessed within
segmental-arched openings with toothed and roll-moulded
enrichment carving. Inset corner pillars with scroll capitals
and roll-moulded bases. Plain chamfered plinth below
roll-moulded bed. Commemorates Richard Mason, son of Edward
and Elizabeth Mason d.1822. Also Eleanor his wife d.1850.
