Bank barn. Probably earlier C19. Roughly coursed mixed rubble
with through-stones and small quoins, slate and stone slate
roof. Rectangular 4-bay plan on north-south axis and at
right-angles to slope, with shippon under south end. The east
front has a wide gabled porch to the 3rd bay with an open
king-strutted front. The south gable wall has 3 shippon
doorways with quoined jambs, rectangular lintels and board
doors, 4 courses of through-stones above, and a square
owl-hole with perching ledge. North gable has similar
owl-hole. INTERIOR: kingpost trusses with fishbone struts.
Forms group with Dairy Cottage (qv) and with stables and loose
boxes to south (qv).
