House. Early C17 with C20 rear extension. Narrow coursed
millstone grit with ashlar dressings, stone slate roof and
stone ridge stack with watertabling.
PLAN: 2-unit plan with services to rear. Stair position
altered.
EXTERIOR: 2 storey. Quoins. Street front has irregular 3
window range. Chamfered 4-centred arch doorway to left with
plank door, to right 3-light C20 casement window in chamfered
ashlar surround, then doorway with flush ashlar surround and
C20 door, beyond 5-light chamfered mullion window. Above
central 2-light sliding sash in chamfered ashlar surround
flanked by single 3-light chamfered mullion windows.
Rear elevation rendered with C20 single storey lean-to
addition. To right single chamfered 4-centred arch doorway
with plank door and above small deeply recessed 3-light
window. Remaining irregular fenestration has C20 casements.
INTERIOR: has original beams to both floors, that to ground
floor right chamfered with large triangular stops, the joists
and boarding revealed.
