Farmhouse, now house. 1638 with C20 alterations. Millstone
grit, part rendered, with tooled ashlar dressings, stone slate
roof and brick stacks, one rendered.
PLAN: gabled front and flush wing.
EXTERIOR: 2 storey. Quoins. Street front has asymmetrical 2
window range with gable to left. Off-centre doorway with C20
glazed door in flush ashlar surround and 2-light C20 casement
to left in similar surround. To right single 3-light C20
casement in chamfered ashlar surround with hoodmould. Above
two 2-light windows in deeply chamfered ashlar surrounds that
to left with hoodmould and that to right at eaves level with
datestone underneath inscribed:- '1638/ R J'.
Left return has single 2-light window with timber replacement
mullion in chamfered surround at ground level.
Right return has single 2-light C20 window in chamfered ashlar
surround with hoodmould at first floor level.
Left return has C20 glazed lean-to porch with above single
casement window and above again small garret keeping hole in
chamfered ashlar surround.
INTERIOR: chamfered and stopped beam to principal room, right.
Original staircase reputed to be of stone.
