Pair of villas. Early-mid C19. Stucco with stucco detail; dry
slate hipped roofs with deep eaves; central rendered stack.
Double-depth plan with central 2 bays projecting flanked by
the entrance bays.
2 storeys; overall symmetrical 4-window front. Horned sashes,
those to house on right with glazing bars. Projecting bays
with 2-storey tripartite bowed windows with moulded cornices
on consoles except that house on right has lost its bow to 1st
floor and now has sash with louvred shutters. Entrance bays
have tripartite transomed doorways with moulded cornices on
consoles, the house on right with original margin panes and
6-panel door.
INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
A complete semi-detached pair of villas in the Classical
tradition.
