Church. 1853-54. Designed by Henry Dangerfield (Borough
Surveyor). Cost ยป3,400. Ashlar with 'French' quoins and brick
sides. North Italian Renaissance style.
EXTERIOR: pedimented front of 3 principal bays, side bays
break forwards slightly and have sub-pediments with small rose
windows, with single-storey entrance bay to right. Paired
arched doorways in centre with plank doors and plain
overlights. Further arched entrance to right a plank door and
blind fanlight with cornice over. Paired round-arched windows
in 2 tiers to outer bays and triple round-arched window to
central upper stage.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: this chapel was taken down and set back
several feet in 1853-54 as a result of poor neighbourly
relations.
