Boundary wall to the College of St
Paul and St Mary, Francis Close Hall
Entrance lodge, gates and wall. c1849 by architect, SW Daukes,
with Lodge of 1912. Squared coursed rubble front wall and wall
to right return (St Paul's Lane) for approx 100m, about 1.5m
high with weathered capping. Gateway to left of lodge
buttressed and crenellated with archway and gates. Lodge in
gabled vernacular Gothic style: one-and-a-half storeys with
tiled roof, 2 triple lancet windows (cusped) to road under
gables with weathered coping; 4-light windows to ground floor.
Crenellated extensions to right. Gabled extension to left with
porch, doorway etc.
