c1833. Piers: ashlar over brick, now painted and stuccoed.
Piers alike: square on plan; shaped plinths, shafts have sunk
panels with crowning band, frieze, cornice and pyramidal caps.
Forms a unit with Pair of gate piers to south-east of carriage
sweep to Longford House (qv).
An integral part of a group of original piers (qqv) forming a
significant streetscape feature in The Park.
