Five gate piers to carriage sweep
with railings to Nos.107 and 109

GV II

2 pairs of gate piers with railings between with additional
gate pier. c1833-50. Piers: stucco over brick, with iron
railings. Piers (alike): square on plan with shaped plinth,
shaft has indented panels, crowning band, frieze and cornice
with pyramidal cap. Arrowhead railings have bars and dogbars
with anthemion motif to finials, ramped up towards piers, for
approx 8m.
Forms part of a larger group of piers to carriage sweep and
boundary to Nos 107 and 109 (qv), which also includes Pair of
Gate piers to No.109 (qv). A significant original streetscape
feature to The Park and part of a good group of similar piers
(qqv).
