Clock tower. 1936. Brick and concrete.
EXTERIOR: square-section tower with a tall lower stage of brown brick laid in Flemish bond on an engineering brick plinth. Each facet with one louvred ventilation slit. Stepped concrete coping to tower. Narrower red brick square clock stage, each facet with a square clock tower. Tiled coping. Cap of brown brick with concrete coping. Clock mechanism by J. Smith & Sons of Derby; 5 bells cast by Taylors of Loughborough and dated 1936. The bells play 'boys and girls come out to play'.
