Farmhouse, now house. Late C16, altered and extended C17 and
C18. Restored c1980.
MATERIALS: timber frame with brick infill; old tile gabled
roof.
PLAN: formerly rectangular plan of 2 framed bays, 1 x 2 framed
bay extension on south, pent and stair turret added on west.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic and cellar. One large ridge
chimney near centre with cornice and clay pots and with date
1687 carved in one brick. C19 and C20 casement windows.
Entrance (east) front: facing road. Timber frame exposed.
Irregular. Single bay gable on left with 2-light window on
first floor and 3-light window on ground floor. 2-bay gable on
right with two, 2-light windows on first floor, 3-light window
and 2-light window on ground floor. Small centre section
has small 2-light window above C20 wooden door in plain
surround, left of centre.
INTERIOR: C17 newel staircase from first floor to attic. Good
quality timber frame exposed throughout. Butt purlin roof.
Large inglenook chimney.
