Milestone, early - mid C19, whitewashed stone. Triangular, flat top with OS benchmark symbol. Incised black lettering reads 'TO PRESCOT 8 MILES, TO LIVERPOOL 16 MILES' (left); 'TO WARRINGTON 2 MILES' (right).

HISTORY: Milestone probably erected early - mid C19. Marked on 1849 OS map.
