Terrace house. Early C18, altered C19. Front partly reconstructed after war damage. Part of Kingsmead Square development by John Strahan.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roof.
PLAN: Standard town house with high mansard roof, entry to right, and backing to Monmouth Street.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys and attic, three windows, two twelve-pane dormers above twelve-pane sash in moulded architraves with keystones, at first floor rising to platband, and with dropped aprons, and at second floor to moulded cornice with blocking course and parapet. Shallow bowed shopfront with door, and, to left, six-panel door with radial fanlight. Stack to left. Rear has twelve-pane dormer above rubble main wall to cavetto cornice and ashlar parapet, some later extensions.
INTERIOR: Not inspected. Carefully restored front, described in the former list as painted and with blocked first floor windows.
