Horse trough, disused, now flower container. Dated 1883. Granite. Horse trough of standard pattern as used by Metropolitan Cattle Trough and Drinking Fountain Association in London. Raised trough for horses with gabled water inlet at left hand end originally with drinking fountain for people. Dog trough below between supporting transverse legs. Legs protected from cartwheels by integral half-round bollards. Upper trough inscribed `Erected by Major CD. BRICKMANN. 1883'
