Boundary walls, gatepiers, gates, railings and steps. Early C19.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, cut stone, wrought iron.
EXTERIOR: Centred to villas pair of square ashlar piers, with paired sunk panels and roundel to each face, and reeded blocking carrying low cross-roll gabled cappings, containing original spear head rail and dog bar gates to central decorative standard with scrolls, with five ball finials. To each side coursed stone wall with coping carries low railings to gate height, stepped up to solid walling in outer sections, at either end of site return wall in rough coursed stone returns to front of villa, shared with adjacent gardens. Inside gates stone paving with steps to each side, centre railing, backed by retaining wall rises to steep swept up coped centre section, running back from this to centre party division ashlar wall with coping. Ensemble important adjunct to houses, with walls and railings either side, encloses Lyncombe Hill on west side, with townscape value.
