Small house in row. Early C19 with late C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Painted limestone ashlar, slate roof.
PLAN: Narrow frontage property set gable to street.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, single window, with replacement sash to top floor and original six/six sash with iron balconette at first floor. Ground floor has original shopfront with four pilasters and plain display window with plank stall riser, panelled door left with three-pane transom light, topped by fascia board. Coped gable. Return to right, adjacent buildings are set back, has short length of parapet between raised blockings each carrying carved stone pineapple finial, and twelve-pane sash with balconette at first floor.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
HISTORY: The display front appears to have been designed at the same time as that to No.10a (qv), but the properties are of separate builds.
