Description

18th century house with mid 19th century detail. Yellow painted render. Stone mullions to bipartites, chamfered arrises. Door to centre with broad strip fanlight in advanced crowstepped gabled porch. Bipartite to right, single light to left, repeated at 1st floor; flanking small enamelled plaque, windows breaking eaves in crowstepped gabled dormerheads. Ball finials to gableheads. Modern glazing. Grey slates to steeply pitched roof, straight skews, rendered stacks.

Statement of Interest

Listed for survival of earlier houe behind 19th century facade detail. Once owned by a ship owner and mariner, Smith, who inserted plaque (Martine).
