Description

18th century. Square-plan corniced sandstone gatepiers; obelisk finials rest on ball-feet. Decorative 2-leaf iron gate, curved at apex. Coped rubble quadrant walls; additional piers (as described above) terminate to outer left and right.

Statement of Interest

Gatepiers and gates mark an impressive entrance to Castle Kennedy after crossing the adjacent Castle Kennedy bridge (see separate list descriptions).
