Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house, at end of terrace. Painted render; S elevation dry-dashed. Painted raised tabbed margins. Quoin strips. Segmental-arched openings to E elevation at 1st floor and to porch.

E (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: crenellated painted stone porch at centre, with parapet raised as semicircle to E; door to E; window to S. Hoodmoulded bipartite window to left bay at ground floor. Window to each bay at 1st floor. External finish of neighbouring building to right extends onto elevation.

S ELEVATION: window to left and right at 1st floor.

N ELEVATION: adjoined to lower building, No 16 Main Street (see separate listing).

Plate glass glazing in sash and case windows. Red sandstone coped skews. Dry-dashed gablehead stacks to N and S. Small grey slates. Octagonal and square cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods; decorative gutter fixtures.
