Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey, 3-bay tenement with commercial premises at ground floor. Painted. Mutuled shopfront cornice; cill courses at upper floors; eaves course; cornice; blocking course. Architrave surrounds to windows; corniced at 1st floor. Pilasters delineate bays at ground floor.

NW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: entrances at ground to outer right and left; timber door and letterbox fanlight to outer left; recessed glazed timber door to outer right with narrow letterbox fanlight; central shop window; deep shopfront fascia above. Regular fenestration at upper floors.

12-pane timber sash and case windows at upper floors. Grey slate roof; rooflight; stone skews; abbreviated gablehead stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

Statement of Interest

Good example of classical urban architecture, with mutual eaves course, cornice and blocking course with Nos 21-25 (Odd Nos) (see separate list description).
