Description

Earlier 19th century; partly reconstructed 1980s.3-storey, 3-bay tenement, with shop at ground floor; bays grouped towards left at 1st and 2nd floors.

S elevation coursed rubble, reconstructed with ashlar at 2nd floor; painted at ground floor. N elevation harled. Ashlar dressings. Lintel course at eaves level. Raised margins.

S EDINBURGH ROAD elevation: shop door at centre; large plate glass display windows in outer bays. Regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors.

N BRUNTONS CLOSE elevation: piend-roofed square stair tower in bay to left; door and 2 windows above to right return. Regular fenestration in bay to right.

W ELEVATION: adjoined to No 4 Edinburgh Road (see separate listing).

E ELEVATION: adjoined to Nos 95-99 High Street (see separate listing).

12-pane glazing in sash and case windows at 1st and 2nd floors. Coped skews. Ashlar gablehead stacks. Greyslates.

The shop at ground floor is accessed from Edinburgh Road, and the flats at 1st and 2nd floor are accessed from Brunton's close.
