Description

Late 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay villa. Squared, snecked and stugged cream ashlar with polished dressings. Stop-chamfered arrises; regular fenestration.

S ELEVATION: base course; moulded string course above ground; moulded eaves. Doorpiece at centre with roll-moulded architrave and framed square panel above; panelled door and rectangular plate glass fanlight. Left bay with bipartite window at ground. Right bay advanced and gabled; canted window at ground, bipartite to front; pair of windows at 1st floor; small window in gablehead; decorative wrought-iron finial. Set back to left, single storey single bay service block.

W ELEVATION: gabled service block projects at ground; 3 narrow windows; wrought-iron finial. Gable of main block above with window to left.

N ELEVATION: stair window at centre. To right, recent stone

and slate projecting garden room at ground; blind window at 1st

floor.

E ELEVATION: gable end with narrow window to centre at ground.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows (12-pane to rear). Crowstepped skews; corbel skwputts; grey slates; battered coping to ashlar apex stacks.

BOUNDARY WALL, GATEPIERS AND GATES: coped rubble boundary wall; low concrete wall to front. Square ashlar gatepiers with bases and pyramidal caps; wrought-iron gates.
