Circa 1790 with modern extension to rear. Plain single-storey, 3-bay lodge with piended roof. Random rubble with droved ashlar window and door dressings (painted). Central modern glazed timber door to S elevation; flanking windows. 2 windows to W. SW angle raised as gatepier for footgate.
12-pane timber sash and case windows (one window to W, 16-pane). No chimney stack. Graded grey slate.
GATEPIERS AND GATES: pyramidal capped corniced gatepiers to Spylaw Park. 2-leaf spear-headed cast-iron gates and plain cast-iron footgate.
In prominent position near the head of Spylaw Street, and at the entrance to Spylaw Park (now a public park). Built as the gate lodge for Spylaw House, which is listed seperately.
