Circa 1868. 4-storey, attic and basement 15-bay warehouse. Ashlar, painted at ground. Moulded cornice above ground. Moulded cornice above ground floor, string courses dividing 1st, 2nd and 3rd; 3rd floor cill course and moulded eaves cornice. Pilastered doorway off-centre to right flanked by modern windows retaining original divisions; carriage entrance in outer left bay. Windows grouped in pairs or threes, divided by broad pilaster, raised giant pilaster dividing groups of windows, (2-3-7-3). Glazed mansard attic.
Plate-glass glazing to 1st and 2nd floors in sash and case windows, with late metal-framed at 3rd floor.
Decorative railings before each basement opening at ground.
Listed as a group with 72-82 Howard Street, 96 Maxwell Street and 32 Fox Street, which were all built as the premises of McCorquodale Printers, and for its uninterrupted range in the streetscape.
The warehouse at 32 Fox Street was built as an extension to this property. The combined buildings have been converted to commercial/residential use, with an additional storey, and are now accessed from Howard Street.
