Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. 3-storey and attic 4-bay stugged cream sandstone tenement with shop at ground. 3-bay shop to left with moulded reveals; panelled 2-leaf door and letterbox fanlight at centre and flanking 2-pane vertically divided shop windows plain fascia with awning box; to right, deep-set panelled door with rectangular fanlight and further boarded door to store to rear; both under single cornice. Upper floors with windows to all bays. Moulded eaves supporting gutter; pair of tripartite timber flat-roofed box dormers.

4-pane timber sash and case windows (6-pane casements to dormers). Rebuilt brick stack; grey slates.

Statement of Interest

Satellite dish affixed to roof above left hand dormer. Part of a continuous group with 2 to 16 Canongate.
