Statement of Interest

The radical politician Joseph Hume was born in Montrose in 1777. He was variously MP for Border burghs, Aberdeen and Montrose burghs. The sculptor William Calder Marshall RA (1813-1894) was born and educated in Edinburgh and went to London in 1834.
