Statement of Interest

Originally with crowstepped gables, now removed, the Miller's House is the oldest datable dwelling in Stromness. The pediment bears the arms of Millar and Nesbet. Later, in the early 19th century, Lt James Millar RN, who led a distinguished naval career, occupied the house. In March 1998 the house was re-rendered and replacement windows installed.
